Our Grounds at Prested

Our grounds are extensive (about 75 acres) and offer a range of different habitats. Around The Hall the lawns are manicured and perfect for a leisurely stroll. The water behind The Hall is part of an old moat and is enjoyed by a variety of water birds.
We have an old apple and pear orchard and we use the fruit in our kitchens. We also have abundant hedgerows so you will find home made elderflower cordial and a range of jellies and jams at Prested.
There are many mature and lovely trees in our grounds, which have received enthusiastic comments from tree specialists. We have planted well over 1000 native trees since we came to Prested.
There is a modest nature trail through much of the wild areas of the grounds, with nesting boxes for different birds. Like most natural habitats, rabbits and other wild occupants ensure the ground is uneven, so the walk must be undertaken at your own risk.
